We are excited to announce that Past Makes Future will return on February 10th, 2025, at the Portsmouth Guildhall, this time with a more expansive and international focus. Sponsored by Bored Peach Club, this year’s conference will explore new frontiers in art and heritage through emerging technologies, with discussions led by international artists and innovators pushing the boundaries of creativity and cultural preservation.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which featured key figures from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Aspex Portsmouth, and the Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality, Past Makes Future 2025 aims to broaden the conversation by inviting global voices into the dialogue. We’ll host sessions that address how artists and heritage organizations worldwide are leveraging technology to create more meaningful, immersive experiences.

With the generous sponsorship of Bored Peach Club, known for their work in bridging art, technology, and community, this year’s conference will focus on radical innovation, collaboration, and the future of creative industries. Past Makes Future 2025 will provide a platform for thought leaders to engage with critical questions about the evolving relationship between art and technology.

We invite artists, technologists, heritage professionals, and cultural thinkers to join us for what promises to be a dynamic day of discussion, exploration, and networking. Stay tuned for more information on speakers and topics as we prepare to push the boundaries of what’s possible at Past Makes Future 2025.
